Allmakes 4×4 Warehouse Move is CompletePosted on: January 14, 2013 by megan
Allmakes 4×4 has recently acquired a new 100,000 sq ft warehouse on Milton Park in response to extraordinary sales, to accommodate its growing storage and distribution needs. We have invested £1,000,000 into creating one of the most efficient, state of the art warehousing facilities in the area, which we are confident, will improve service and allow for more growth in the business. Allmakes 4×4 is amongst the top 200 private companies in The Thames Valley region.
Preparations for the move began after the summer of 2012 and the installation process began in November. The first step of this process involved many of the warehouse workers erecting a new storage racking system up to 12 metres high and with a capacity of storing 7,000 pallets. A full-span Mezzanine floor, measuring the area of a football pitch was also being installed alongside the new racking system, ready to accommodate up to 12,000 stock locations.
Allmakes 4×4 has continued to thrive in business by employing the best possible expertise; the latest technology and innovations, and all with the support of a fantastic customer base. Now, thanks to the ever increasing demand for Land Rover parts from our customers worldwide, Allmakes 4×4 is capable of moving up to a bigger scale operation that has triple the storage capacity that was offered in their previous warehouse. Allmakes 4×4 have also made it into the Sunday Times international track 200, a list which recognises the focus on exports and service to customers.
The installation project came to a head when all 140 Allmakes 4×4 employees came together to move £4million worth of parts from the old warehouse to the new one in just 3 days. The whole process has been supported by Veron Freight, who has held on to the warehouse stock in preparation of the move. Allmakes 4×4 is now very proud to announce that installation is complete, and the new warehouse is up and running. We now have 70 people working in unit 188, in addition to another 60 people in other locations across the park and are anticipating another fruitful year in 2013.
